Canandaigua Antique Show and Sale

The Canandaigua Antique Show and Sale took place at the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center on June 20. A long line of attendees wove around the hallway waiting to shop the displays put on by the Genesee Country Antique Dealers Association (GCADA). There was a strong and busy start to the show that was sustained for several hours with nearly 600 attendees. Enthusiastic buyers had high-quality furniture, artwork, jewelry, rugs, stoneware, folk art and more to choose from. As a special touch, the exhibit space had decorations for the 250th Anniversary of America.

GCADA, formed in 1948, supports educational events on antiques and grants to museums and historical groups. Their fall show is set for October 17 at Minett Hall in Henrietta, N.Y.
