If you are interested in spending a weekend with fellow collectors and people interested in talking about, learning about, and acquiring hatpins, hatpin holders and related items, reserve your space for the Hatpin Gathering to be held at the Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady, New York, 15 minutes from the Albany, NY Airport. The event will feature a Friday, October 4th evening meet and greet at the hotel, a full day of presentations, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and programs on Sunday morning. The event will close at noon on Sunday. Several vendors specializing in hatpins, hatpin holders and related items will have their items for sale. Everyone from the casually interested to the experienced collector is most welcome.
The Hampton Inn & Suites is just 4 miles to the Albany Airport and closest to the Mohawk Golf Club. A block of rooms has been reserved for Hatpin Gathering attendees so mention the booking code C-HAT when reserving your room. Registration for the Haptin Gathering is required. Cost is $135 per person and includes lunch and dinner on Saturday, goodie bag, presentations, handout materials and access to the vendors.
There will also be round table discussions, show and tell, lectures and the all-important vendor tables. The guest speaker will be Sue McLane, The Victorian Lady, whose award winning presentations have made her a sought-after speaker. Her topic on Millinery Confections will feature a display of hats from 1850 to 1950.
